COVID-19 Update

Posted on 16/09/2020 at 3:12 pm by Optimism Supported Housing

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and are following all appropriate Government advice.

What to do if you are displaying symptoms?

The most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are the recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

You should arrange for a Coronavirus test within 5 days of showing symptoms and not leave the house for ten days from when symptoms start. Tests can be arranged through the Government site here.

A Summary of the key advice is listed below as a reminder for you:

Usage of OSH Office

We are continuing to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation closely. As an increasing number of areas enter local lockdowns and the number of cases rises in London as well, in line with Government guidance. Visiting the office will be on appointment only, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

General Government advice

There are 3 main areas the Government is recommending to prevent the onward spread of the virus and reduce the risk of the situation worsening.

These are:-

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Wear a mask in enclosed spaces
  •  Practice social distancing and stay 2 metres apart wherever possible

Use of PPE

The use of face coverings in retail premises and on public transport is mandatory. For full guidance on when a face covering should be applied, please follow the link here.

Shielding

The Government is advising members of the extremely vulnerable population that you do not need to shield at the moment. This is because the rates of transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the community have fallen from peak levels. Keep an eye on local lockdowns and the Government website though as there may be a requirement for some individuals to consider shielding in locally locked downed areas.

 Local lockdown areas

The link below contains details of the area with lockdown restrictions. Please follow the link here.
